So I picked up a Sony PsP cause I wanted to buy a bunch of UMDs and also picked up some games and decided to make AVPR one of them. From the outset the game is not much to look at but once you get playing it is fun. Basically it follows the plot of the movie where you have to halt the infestation of Gunisson as a lone predator. You have a huge arsenal of weapons from should canons, spears and plasma pistols. The array of enemies is very weak. Warrior and PredAliens and Human soldiers and thats it. Their not that hard to fight either. The combat itself is very like Predator Concrete jungle but with a decent camera this time. The game would get old very quickly if it was not for the side missions and quests which gives it expanded life span. There's also a multiplayer mode very like the Skermish mode from the AVP pc games but only if someone else has the game and a PsP.
This game will not be for everyone but if your a fan of the movies and want a handy portal AVP game this is ones for you.
As a big Xenomorph fan this is my page on everything Alien's from Movies, crossover's,comics, novels and video games.

Game over man review: Aliens vs Predator 2010
So Colonial Marines came out and it was a big let down but truth be told we got the game that should of been in 2010. Aliens vs Predator 2010 does not hold a candle to P.C games but still is a pretty wicked game. Like the P.C games its an FPS with put you in three different perspective of the xenomorph, Yautja hunter and Colonial Marine and like the P.C game its requires you the way you play to suit the character....Aliens have no weapons and armor so running into an enemy fray will get you killed. For the xeno stealth is the order of the day. The Predator can be 50/50. Its weapons are good but to get the best use is when its combined with the stealth Element. My only nag with that is there is a very small selection, wrist blades, Shoulder Canon, Spear, disc and mines...I think the Predator is none for its vast array of gear and this game is set in the future surely the hunters have a bit more weapons or gear. Like with the Alien you can have very cool and very very graphic stealth kills.
Buy far the marine is the most enjoyable and exciting character cause everything wants you dead. The marine is hunted from the get go. That said one thing I wish was you face the predator more then twice as the marine I mean it is Aliens vs Predator. But mainly your going to dusting Xenos and and Weyland Yuntai andriods.
Your weapons include classic U.S.C.M hardware like the Pulse-Rifle, Smartgun and the Flamethrower and some new gear a double barrel pump action shotgun much like Vriess's shotgun in Alien Resurrection. You also get a sniper rifle that kinda shit granted its handy for taking out those facehuggers that are hard to spot.
The plot is pretty good much in the vain of Dark Horse comics. Set on the colony Freya prospect which has the shit luck of been set up buy Karl Bishop Weyland on a Predator Hunting planet. Wayland opens the Yautja temple causing a mass infestation. The Marines and Predators arrive at the same time and the Predator vessel destroys the marines ship stranding everyone on the planet. So its Up to the Rookie to take Weyland down, The Dark Predator has to Kill the Prealien and avenge is comrades and number 6 xeno is trying to kill all who get in her way which is very cool.
At the end of the day its a fairly solid FPS for none fans but if your a fan of the franchise you'll really enjoy this. Agien it aint no where near as fast paced or fluid as the P.C version but still a solid Alien vs Predator Game.

Game over man Review: Alien Isolation
Well Im back after a long break during which I finished Alien Isolation and let me tell you Ellen Ripley had a walk on the park compared to her daughter Amanda.
This game makes you sing for your supper. I had to restart at an easier difficulty setting cause it was so damn hard. The Story is set 15 years after the events of Alien and Ellen Ripley daughter Amanda decides to join a team of Wayland-Yutani representatives to a station called Servastopol where the Nostromo's black box has turned up. When they get there the station is in ruin and people are fighting to survive a lone xenomorph which was cause of all the mayhem.
The story is full of twists and turns and has allies and foes alike dropping like flies to the xenomorph. Despite the games pants browning atmosphere and difficultly the story is so compelling it brings you back for more and more. The most standout parts of the game which there are many is the first encounter with the Alien where your unarmed and under prepared. The other is the perspective part of Marlowe the Captain of the ship which tracked the Nostromo to LV-426 and enters the Jockey ship. I've played many many games where you see the dead pilots chamber and this buy far is the best representation of it.
The A.I on the Alien while not as good as the Xbox one and PS4 is still pretty clever and it feels like its hunting you. The graphics are stunning for the 360 and the detail if you'v time to take it in while your not hiding under desks or in lockers is amazing.
Sound design and music wickedly lends to the tension of the game making it nail biting hearing the pounding footsteps of the xenomorph and chilling music as your being stalked through dim corridors.
On the station the Alien is not your only foe. Human survivors will kill you if you confront them outta fear of attracting the xeno or if they think your trying to steal their loot. You can either take them on with weapons and risk attacting the Alien or sneak past them and avoid a dangerous situation. The Worker-Joes on the other hand are a hole other kettle of fish. These creepy window dummy looking synthetics will track you down and beat you to death with ease. Your only course of action is to either stun them with the baton and bash their brains in or use fire arms which agein risks drawing out the Alien either way their big trouble.
You do get weapons and you'll want to use them sparingly. You get a pistol and shotgun which is good taking out humans but the shotgun is only one along with the blot gun to take out the Worker-Joes. As I siad before these fire arms will only lure the Xeno and does nothing to him ((which I have a slight problem with))
The only real effective weapon to use on the xeno is the flamethrower. It scares it off and is a sure fire way ((pun intended)) to keep the star beast off your back....aleast for a while. You can also craft weapons such as explosives and distractions. Speaking of which the crafting system takes a while to get used to but when you do its a must to progress in the game.
With all those pro's there are a few cons. The Puzzels can be a pain in the arse as the last thing you wanna do is figure which shape matchs to which or is this grid in the right place while that things hunting you. Hell some of the puzzels confused the hell outta me and in the finish I just randonly bashed some buttons to sort it.
Also this game is bastard hard I mean I repect its trying to push the player to their limits but there were times my foot wanted to go into the Tv set and its a long ass game....maybe over staying it welcome slightly but hay who wants to play game that ends before you can really enjoy it.
All in all Creative Assembly have made a wonderful Alien game that does the franchise justice and with sprawling station to explore play through after play through and a wicked selection of DLC such as the amazing Crew expendable where you can play is Ripley, Parker or Dallas this games life span is limitless.
So if your a fan of the Alien franchise like me theres no question buy this game....and sleep with the lights on.

Game over man review: The Thing
So while the Dark Horse comics do a fair enough job of giving a fair go at a Thing sequel but for me the game does the best job at it.
Released in 2002 for PS2, Xbox and PC the game was a combination of third person survival horror mixed with team based combat.
You play captain Blake and his team is sent of investigate what happened at Outpost 31 and the Norwegian camp a mere 24 hours after the movie. There Blake suspects one or more of your team mates are infected. The enamies range from small things called scuttlers like the Norries head. These can be dispatched with small arms fire but with the larger creatures they must be injured then burnt after to stop them. Weapons range from pistols, machine guns, shotguns, flamethrowes and explovies. The combat also effects the difficulty. Your giving a wide range cone on an easier level while its harder when the cone is smaller and your fire field is smaller.
The other aspects of that game that are cool are the fear and trust management sysetem. If your team mate is afraid you need to calm them and if you do odd things and hurt other team mates and you could have a coup on your hands if they think your the Thing.
The downside to team elements selecting your team mates and arming them as the A.I at the time was not up to top notch. Example you could give your team mate a flame thrower to kill the thing beast while you hit it also with the shotgun. However this fool could fuck off into another room and hide of cry. Also another niggle if your team mate has been normal or if you even tested them with a blood kit and their fine you come to a boss battle their going to turn into the thing. That got to me a bit but still a minor niggle.
The voice cast is amazing Perr Sollie does a wicked turn as the grizzled but also cool Captain Blake. X-files William B Davis does the voice of the shady Colonel Whitley and none other then the main man John Carpenter lends both his likeness and voice to Dr Faraday.
A fun and intresting game that takes a while to get used to and if your a fan of the Thing its a must.

Game over man Review: Aliens Infestation
So in what mad world to a handheld game out do it console counter part...this one. While I do have a soft spot for it Aliens:Colonial Marines it was still a fucking uber let down. It was a sub par attempt at doing the Aliens movie on video game format yet at the same time Aliens Infestation was released for the DS and it rocked. The story goes along the same as Alien:CM. Your the rescue team for Hicks unit and you board the Sulaco and thats were the game parts from Aliens:CM. In this game they take elements from the expanded universe and even unused scripts. The main human foe is Wayland Yutani but the U.U.P (Union of Progressive Peoples) space commies for want of a better term. The U.U.P have harvested xeno's and are breeding them as weapons. So you gotta stoped them on both LV426 and their main base on Mars moon of Phobos. The U.P.P soldiers are challange who like the player use a cover system. Theres also some robots who take a fair pounding.
The Alien enemies are wicked too. The Warrior Aliens sound like Aliens, they can attack from the ground wall and roof. But its not just warrior Aliens theres fucking GORILLA xeno's too. Thats right Kenner style baby...these are tough motherfuckers and even have a pretorian version. You fight a number of Queen boss's and a Jockey xeno...and no no that fucking Deacon.
Game play is old school side shooter with a great range of weapons which can be upgraded...the shotgun being the best. Playing this is like playing Contra on PCP. You can also use vehicals such as the powerloader and APC.
Your giving a roster of 16 characters to use and each has his own personality. The game also makes great use of the botton screen and stylus using it to active switchs, weld things, select thing and bring up the map. The bottom screen also has this wicked little mine game based on the Bishop knife trick where you gotta stab the stylus between the fingers of the hand on screen as fast as you can in a selected order.
I cant tell you enough how awesome this game is and at the end of the day if your an Aliens fan and you have a DS you need to buy this game.
Now to try and plow through Alien Isolation without browning my pants so I can review it for you good people.

Amanda Ripley
With the release of Alien Isolation coming up I've decided to do a fairly basic profile on the daughter of Ellen Ripley and the hero of the up coming Creative Assembly game.
Her mother conceived her during a layover between haulage trips, which was counter to company policy, although she was not disciplined for her indiscretion and the pregnancy was allowed to come to term and Amanda was delivered in a home birth, in the presence of Ripley's husband. She was still a child when her mother disappeared following the loss of the Nostromo.
As a result of her mother disappearance 15 years later, Amanda went looking for her which eventually lead her to Severtorpol a decommissioned trading space station. Onboard, she encountered a xenomorph. She was able to escape the Drone and continued with her life according to Burke in Aliens.
Burke also informed Ripley that Amanda died at the age of sixty-six, two years before her mother's return fifty-seven years after her initial disappearance. Sometime before her death she married, taking the name 'McClaren', but had no children.
Side not in Aliens the photo Bruke Show's Ripely is actually Weaver mother Elizabeth Inglis who Creative Assembly used her likeness at the age of 25 for Amanda in the game. So in the Aliens universe Weavers mother plays her daughter.

Original Alien cast reunite for Alien: Isolation
So I was hyped about getting Alien Isolation but now I'm escstatic because most of the cast are returning for the video game Alien Isolation to lend both voices and likeness's . Details are still sketchy but it will be in the form of two parts of DLC. The First called Crew expendable will focus on the events just after Brett is killed in the hanger of the Nostromo and you can control either Dallas, Parker or Ripley who must lure the Alien to the air shafts.
The 2nd part of DLC is called Lone Survivor and play as Ripley as she trys to turn off the cooling tanks and blow up the ship all the while avoiding the "Big Chap".
That fact that Weaver and the rest of the cast are returning to lend this clout to a game is impressive and I for one can not wait.
For more about this DLC click the link

Also big thanks to John Cullen for bringing this info to my attention.

Game over man Review: Predator Concrete Jungle
Released for the PS2 and Xbox back in 2005 this sweet action game lets you take control of a disgraced Yautja hunter who must return to earth after a botched hunt one hundred years before allows pred tech to fall into human hand.
The game bounces from 1930 to 2030 in a setting called New Way City. The Predator called Scarface must destroy the crime family who;s empire was built buy harnessing predator tech and in doing so regain his honor.
Gameplay is fun and if I had to I'd compare it to Crackdown as you must fight various gangs using both brute force and savage predator weapons. Foe include different Gangs scattered through out the city, the police force, company mercs, Ninja's, brainwashed cyborg Predators and a handful of others one group of which you'll love.
This story was written buy Grant Morrison which shows as the plot dosent come up short and there fantasitc references to the likes of Predator one and two, Alien and AVP. There extras and little easter eggs in the bonus menus would put some xbox 360 and PS3 games to shame. This is a Predator fans holy grail and shows how much love was put into this game.
The down side is two things. This game is bastard hard. You will die a fucking lot in this game and one of the main reasons will be...the fucking camera. This will kill you more then any trigger happy foe. you can try and adjust and control it buy it will alway turn in the wrong direction.
That siad reguardless of its flaws this game is a must for Predator or Alien fans who have a PS2 or an Xbox.

Game over man Review: Aliens vs Predator P.C
Not only are you just playing as different creatures but the method in which you play must be different. I.E you cant go in all guns blazing( you dont have any) when your the Xeno unlike the Marine who has the hardware and armour. While the predator is a good alrounder...both stealth and combat work well for him,
The story is slime line to say the least but it's set 10 years after Aliens and occurs in different movie locations such as LV426 and Fury161. Wayland Yuntani seems to have a greater insight into the xeno and seems to be breeding them. As a result youll face Xenoborgs...Aliens with lasers and other weapons.
The Marine mission is to get from LV426 to his troop ship, The Predator mission is split into two. One is set in Wayland Yuntis underground research lab to find a captured Predator the later mission is to break into a Yunti owned Hive and kill the Queen. Lastly the Alien must escape from a Yutani Hive and make it to earth.
Marines weapons include Pulse Rifle, Flamethrower, Smartgun, SADER , Minigun and Grenade Launcher. The Gold edition also gives you a skeet Launcher and Duel Pistols. The Marine can get health packs and armor if injured and he's also equipped with flares and night vision goggles.
Aliens weapons include Claws, Tail and extended Jaws. While not an impressive weapons set its jaws when head biting restore your health making every enemy a walking health pack.
Lastly the predator gear includes Wristblades, Speargun, Plasma Caster, Plasma pistol and throwing disc. It also has three vision modes and a medipack which while requires power to work it still is a godsend.
The Game is A1 in sound, lighting, A.I and graphics which I still think hold up today. This game is a must if your an Aliens or Predator fan. You can pick it up on steam for peanuts and even if you aint an AVP fan this is one of the best P.C FPS's out there.

Game over man Review: Alien vs Predator the last of his clan
This is the last of the Gameboy Alien games Ill be reviewing. AVP the last of his clan is a side scrolling beat'em up that puts you in the sandals of a lone hunter who must destroy an out of control hive which is clan allowed to be seeded on a populated planet. To my vast knowledge this is the first ever AvP game so that alone peeked my intrest and I had to buy it.
The graphics have not aged well and the music leaves alot to be desired but in fairness this is the first ever AVP game so cut it a little slack. Hell you got the Predator theme in 8 bit on the intro....what more could you want. The controls are basic as fuck and theres a sweet little menu for selecting the weapons....dont get too excited, you'll hear how sucky they are next.
The Yautja's weapons include Wristblades, Cuttingdisk, Shouldercanon and Bombs. Most are useless other then the cutting disk. Cloak seems only to be there to kill the facehuggers who jump on you. The foes include Facehuggers, Chestbursters and Warriors...along with the Queen boss. The Aliens are the toughest but the do constantly respawn and keep in mind there no medkits in this game at all.
While not a great game you could get a bit of fun outta it for oh the first 20 minutes but after that your going to be bored very fast. AVP the last of his clan for the Game boy is a game for hardcore fans only.

Game over man Review: Aliens Thanatos Encounter
So I recently got a Gameboy advance and already played and reviewed Alien3 and decided to order Aliens Thanatos encounter, a game for the Gameboy Color.
The story is bare bones bunch of marines returning from a training mission decide to investigate the Thanatos a Weyland Yuntani research vessel. It soon becomes apparent the ship has become a xeno hive and theres still civies onboard who need be rescued. Your given the option for 5 marines each with varying stamina and speed. The weapons include pistols, Shotguns, Pulse rifle and grenade launcher all of which can be duel wielded while the Smartgun and flamethrower require both hands to operate.Down side to this is you cant hold your motion tracker so locating enemies and objectives is impossible. You can use the powerloader also to fight larger foes.Enemies include Chestbursters, Facehuggers, Drones, Warriors and the Queen.
Graphic wise the game layout is an over the top shooter much like Alien3. While not amazning its is fun to see your little marine ( Thank you battle L.A!) run around blasting xenos. Sound effects are shit and the music is anything to write home about but then agien guys this is Gameboy color.
My major issue with this game is the levels feel all the same and the combat and aiming system for the marines is god awful. You have to hope the Aliens run into your field of fire. Having said that there is a cool little feature which if your marines dies you'v 200 seconds to rescue your lost marine and regain your lost life.
This is not a fantastic game but if your an alien fan you'll want to check it out if you'v an old gameboy color or Gameboy advance.

Game over man Review: Alien Resurrection
Every once and a while you'll come across a game that surpass's the movie. In Alien Resurrections case thats not hard but still its a decent game. Why you might ask. Two reasons. Bastard hard and bastard scary.
While filled with the intense action their is a lot of jump moments. The story is the same as the movie you plays a Ripley 8 and other members of the Betty crew at alternate times all of whom are trying to escape the xeno infested Auriga. The game was fairly advanced considering it was released on the PS1 this FPS boasted atmosphere and tension to boot and Argonaut Games who developed the arcade machine aboard the Betty wonderful job making you feel like your in the Aliens universe considering the tech they had to work with at the time. The player must complete different tasks to progress across the game. These include killing clones, rescuing researchers and ejecting overheating escape pods.
Enemies range from two different types as always with Aliens games. Human foes and Xenos. On the human front the Evil Weyland Yutani (having been bought out buy wall-mart...gAAAhe) is replaced with United Systems Military. These troops range from lowly grunts armed with pistol's and seem to be there as Alien chow to the Spec-Ops soldiers armed with grenade launchers and the advanced Pulse Rifle of the future the Lacrima 99.
Then theres Hazzmat troops armed with Flame-throwers.
That Brings us to the xenomorph selection...and that kinda is a let down. You'v the standard Drone Alien. Fast, agile and rarely alone these fucker ambush you at every twist and turn. Evening following you into the water....and if you dont have a rocket launcher your in trouble. Theres a wicked warrior class thats bright blue but I've only ever encountered three of these fuckers in total...like the Drones in most case's. Then theres the Queen boss who you have to battle half way through the game which is tough requiring you to sneak through her holding chamber and activate switchs ( what is with Queen boss battles and switchs?) Then there the New Born who stalks you through the last stage and you must evade and eject from the Betty. Your probably wondering why I have left the facehugger's till last. Well cause their a pain in the hole...thats why. The ship is littered with them and you have to keep your eyes peeled or else your the expecting mother of a unwatned baby xeno. Luck is at hand cause you can find auto-doc units scattered through out the ship These abort the Alien inside you before it hatchs....let yourself die once so you can see it erupt from your guts and slither off.
The games arsenal is fairly extensive, All four characters have access to USM pistols,a double barrel shotgun, Lacrima Rifle's and Darco Double burner flame units. Weapons unique to Ripley 8 are the electro gun and the Grenade Launcher, Call get's a wicked Laser Rifle, DiStephano while have no unique weapons he is a marine so starts with the Lacrima and a Launcher. Christie weapons include duel pistols and a Rocket launcher.
This is a very hard game but is also very enjoyable and a must for a Alien fan. Cool little things include that Raymond Cruz, Gary Dourdan and Steven Gilborn reprising their roles as 'DiStephano', 'Christie' and 'Father' even though Cruz and Dourdan mainly grunt and scream and have no real line's.
Like the Alien Trilogy from the PS1 also this games not easy to find now these days but if your online you could probably find it second hand. All in all a more then average Alien game. I bought this game when it first came out for christmas and keep in mind that was three years after the films release back in 2000 so thats 14 years ago and I still play it....thats how good that game is.

Game over man Review: Alien 3 for the Gameboy
While Alien 3 was not the most loved or successful of the Alien franchise it did spawn a number of decent games. Two of which I own. One is for the SNES ,the other is for the Gameboy. Ill be taking a look at the latter in this review.
So game play is top down isometric shooter with rpg elements. The story is very close to the movies with the two major deviations being you have weapons and your not fighting just one lone runner but a hive of Xeno's, this trend would in all the Alien 3 games. Its makes sense that developers feared that one Alien and no weapons would make a dull game ( Prove em wrong Alien Isolation)
So you play as Ripley who has to find away defeat the xenomorphs and get off Fury 161 before Weyland-Yuntai arrive.( Ripley survives in this game). Players are rated xeno's killed, Prisoners saved, try's taken and other overall objectives.
Xeno types include Facehuggers which to scale of Ripley and the other humans in the game must be the size of pitbulls. The Drone/Runners are a mid difficult foe not taken much hits to kill but still very fast. The Warrior types are huge and move more like the gorilla Alien, they take a number of hits to kill. Lastly you'v the Queen who cant be killed via weapons but must be taken out with the piston like the Runner was in the movie.
Weapons include a cattle prod like the one from Alien, a pretty wicked pistol which does decent damage, a Flamethrower which on the menu screen looks like its from Alien also....thing about the flamethrower is it only can destroy eggs and nothing else! Lastly the Smartgun which on the menu looks like the fucking harpoon gun from Alien.
The game dance's the line from being really fun to be really fucking annoying. A lot of the time you'll be doing scavenger missions looking for toolkits and blowtorch's to open doors and fix things. At one stage Dillon sent me to a rubbish tip to find the torch and I spent about 10 minutes clicking this tip from different sides till the game decided to go "yeah now its there!" Also I suffered from the same problem I had in the Resident Evil games....limited storage. For example I came buy Bishops head way before I needed to so my spaces ended up being all filled so I had to drop it until a later part where I had to back track all the way back to the same place to pick it up. The fan puzzle's were cool but if you fucked them up chance's are they would kill you more then the Xeno's.
Despite these niggles Alien3 for the Gameboy is still a fun and worthy product of the franchise. If you'v an old Gameboy or Indeed Gameboy advance and can get your hands on it pick it up.
Also huge thanks to Charlene Bennett for giving me such a wicked x mans gift. Your can check out her blog here. http://blondepurplebruise.blogspot.ie/

Game over man Review: Alien Trilogy
So the first ever game I ever played was Alien Trilogy for the Playstation. The plot is an alternate take on Aliens and Alien3. Ripley and a platoon of Marines come to LV426 to check on the colony only for the entire unite bar Ripley (Sporting her Alien3 buzzcut ) and Bishop (sounding like Matt Tracker of Mask) to be left to deal with the xenos. So the games a basic Doom clone FPS thats set in the aliens universe. The graphics at the time were good but havent aged well and the xeno's them selves are sprites along with the other foes you fight. These Include. Warrior's,Runner's both newborn and adult, Chestbursters, Facehuggers and 3 Queens. You also have an array of Weyland Yutani merc's that include colonies private security, Combat Synthetic's, Weyland's personal marine core and Wayland Yutani Commandos. Some foes go down easy while other want to soak up as much of your ammo as possible before shoving you into the here-after.
The Weapons include, Pistol, Shotgun, Flamethrower,Pulse-Rifle and Smartgun along with some explosives. Pickups are plentyful and a you'll need them on later levels as the warrior's just want to make you empty clip after clip into them.
While it has not aged well I still find myself playing it and enjoying the levels fairly accurate layout and movies relics like the APC's in the garage, The E.E.V in the main Prison chamber and the Jockey's body in the Boneship. The weapons and enemies are cool and if your an Aliens fan you'll love them.
The story goofs up alot of things like the prison being on LV426 and not Fury or how the Atmosphere processors melt down is going blow the planet and not just the colony but its a Doom Clone.
Last but not least at least let yourself die once to check out the Death FMV's.Its rather hard now to come buy but if you search online you can find a cheap copy on Ebay or in your local thrifty. So while its not an amazing game now it still is fun and if your an Alien fan like me you gotta pick it up.
Oh and for all you cheating bastards here's a code you might want.

Game Over man Review:Aliens Colonial Marines
Oh boy...oh boy oh boy oh boy. Right so this game was years in the making and changed hands more times then Alien3...so was it all we hoped for. Fuck no. Buggy as hell and with some rather unremarkable graphics among other things fans were left foaming at the mouth with rage. Gearbox screwed the pooch and left many baying for blood so your thinking that I was one of them well.....no. While I wasn't blown away buy it and the glitches annoyed the fuck out of me I rather enjoyed it. I felt what really pissed people off and rightly so was the test footage shown was light years more impressive then the finished product and thats what really cuts the throat of this game. There is a good game in there despite all the flaws. Here's some of the things I liked that as an Aliens fan I thought made and saved the game.
Weapons and tech is authentic to the Weyland-Yutani universe.
Locations have the atmosphere from the movies.
The Raven section and boss was awesome. As was the Boilers.
The reintroduction of my fan favorite character.
The Stasis Interrupted DLC.
Another thing that made me like it was I thought it was going to be total shit....instead it was disappointing at best but the story was decent..not ground breaking but on par with a Dark Horse story. Winter the marine you play is wooden as is some of the others. The end battle is awesome with you getting in a 3 between xeno's and Weyland-Yutani merc's. People complained that the xeno's were mere canon fodder and to that I say..yes there were but those were the warrior's. Their a soldier type meant for overwhelming not stalking as which the fantastic Lurker did. The legendary weapons were cool although impossible as most were abandoned or destroyed in the explosion on LV426.
All in all while far from a great game it's not as bad as its pegged and if you can get it for €10 and your a fan pick it up if just for the multiplayer.

Alien: Isolation
Right so after the mess up which was Aliens Colonial Marines ((which I kind liked..please do hurt me)) came out and got played Im guessing you lot were like fuck it I'm done with Alien games. I would not blame you ((But I did enjoy that fan service...I mean game)) but then the trailer for Creative Assembly's game came out.
There's one Alien and you appear to have fuck all weapons and backup. Now the plot Im not too fond of because its seems to be suffering from the franchise current curse of story happenstance. Amanda Ripley has her own encounter with the very creature her mother fought...I'm hoping the plot will be good enough to make it work. There's too much happenstance...like in Aliens Colonial Marines Stasis Interrupted where Hick just about arrives on Fury to see Ripley dive into the molten pit or in Alien:Out of the Shadows Ripley encounters a crew of miners fighting more aliens on their ship years before the events of Aliens.Come on guys just because you can put tractor wheels on a minivan dosent mean you should. Stop shoving your stuff in to canon and if you do....make a prettier job of it.
